• Perkins Funding
      • The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education grant is grant funding that is awarded from the U.S. Government to the states and then allocated to various schools within Colorado state based on programs and student population numbers in the Career and Technical Programs.Because the funds from this Act are grant funds, CCCS requires each Perkins eligible Local Recipient (community college, technical college, school district or school district consortium) to complete and follow an annual CCCS approved Local Plan for the use of Perkins funds. The funds are awarded on a reimbursement basis. Perkins funds are awarded to CSI and then distributed to eligible CSI schools.

    • Colorado Technical Act
      • The Career and Technical Act was adopted by the Colorado General Assembly to provide assistance to local school districts operating CTE programs approved by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. The following costs are eligible to claim under the CTA and are subject to audit:
          • Instructional Costs (including administrator/specialist costs)
          • Equipment (costing $5,000 or greater per unit)
          • Supplies (costing less than $5,000 per unit)
          • Contracted Programs

Funds awarded through CTA are reimbursed to schools after the school year for which they were claimed.
