Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Language Learners (ACCESS for ELLs) is an annual measure of proficiency given to all Kindergarten through 12th grade students in the state of Colorado who have been identified as English Language Learners (NEP or FEP).

  • ACCESS for ELLs, Kindergarten is paper-based
  • ACCESS for ELLs, grades 1-12 is computer- or paper-based, depending on each school’s assessment policy.
  • Alternate ACCESS, grades 1-12 (for students with significant cognitive abilities) is paper-based.

January 13 – February 14, 2020 

Deadline for returning ACCESS materials to CSI: February 18, 2020
