Unified Improvement Plan Submission

The Education Accountability Act of 2009 requires each Colorado district and school to create an annual improvement plan

Annual (or biennial if school qualifies) plans are submitted to and reviewed by CSI prior to final submission to CDE. 

Schools in renewal are required to submit a UIP, regardless of biennial flexibility. The UIP serves as the school’s Academic Narrative for renewal applications.​

Important Dates

  • August 15: First Draft of UIP completed in online system 
  • September: Receive feedback from CSI and make changes to draft 
  • October 15: Final draft due in online tool
  • April: Template rolls over to next school year; schools begin work on following year’s UIP.
