Unified Improvement Plan Submission |
The Education Accountability Act of 2009 requires each Colorado district and school to create an annual improvement plan |
Annual (or biennial if school qualifies) plans are submitted to and reviewed by CSI prior to final submission to CDE. Schools in renewal are required to submit a UIP, regardless of biennial flexibility. The UIP serves as the school’s Academic Narrative for renewal applications. |

Important Dates
- August 15: First Draft of UIP completed in online system
- September: Receive feedback from CSI and make changes to draft
- October 15: Final draft due in online tool
- April: Template rolls over to next school year; schools begin work on following year’s UIP.
